Finding the right mediator starts with the dispute
Echelon Dispute Resolution organises its mediator network through specialist panels rather than presenting parties with one undifferentiated list of names. The purpose is to make it easier to identify mediators whose professional background, mediation experience and areas of practice are relevant to the issues being considered.
A mediator does not determine who is legally right or impose a settlement. Their role is to manage a structured and confidential process through which the parties can examine the dispute, test possible routes to settlement and decide for themselves whether an acceptable resolution can be reached.
